Selena Gomez Gets a New Tattoo -- Find Out What it Means!

Selena Gomez is sporting some new ink!

The "Come & Get It" singer got a new tattoo courtesy of celebrity tattoo artist Bang Bang McCurdy, who showed off his work on Instagram.

"Little gift for my friend @selenagomez," he wrote along with a pic of the pop star.

Bang Bang told E! News that Selena got her tattoo, which is located on the upper right side of her back, "about a month ago," adding that "she had been wanting this one for a while."

As for the significance of her new tat?

"Its meaning translates to 'Love Yourself,'" he explained when describing the script, which appears to be an Arabic translation of the phrase "Love Yourself First."

"Selena already had it written out how she wanted it," McCurdy revealed. "The tattoo is about four inches and didn’t take too long, probably about 30 to 45 minutes. The longest part is laying it out. We played with it a bit laying it out until we found the perfect spot."

Gomez "flipped out" upon seeing the final product. She already has about five or six other tattoos according to Bang Bang, and she has another one in the works for her next visit.
