August Alsina

August Alsina was forced to cancel a gig in the U.K. due to his medical condition. The rapper, who recently made headlines after collapsing onstage during his show in NYC, was still in recovery so his doctors told him not to travel too far. A rep for the rapper announced the cancellation in a statement. "Due to the well-publicized fall from a stage in New York last month which caused August to be hospitalized for more than a week, his medical team has advised him that it would be unwise to travel such distance so soon into his recovery," the statement read.

"August has asked us to convey his disappointment and sadness that he will be unable to perform. We all wish him the very best of luck and a speedy recovery," it added.

The London show, which was supposed to take place at Brooklyn Bowl on Saturday, October 11, was part of comedian Kevin Hart's HartBeat Weekend. Alsina has apologized and expressed his disappointment over the cancellation in a Twitter post.

"Apologies to my London/UK fans, @KevinHart4real and #HartBeatWeekend. Docs advised me not to fly, so my performance tomorrow is canceled," he wrote.

"Naturally, our thoughts and well wishes go out to this young talent," Hart said in his own statement. "August and I have spoken and to say he is disappointed is an understatement, but he is also wise enough to realize that his health must take priority over anything else - even my showcase!"

Alsina is expected to support Usher's 27-city "The UR Experience" tour which opens on November 1.
