Cristiano Ronaldo Split From Longtime Girlfriend Irina Shayk

Cristiano Ronaldo and Irina Shayk are kaput. The football player and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model called it quits after five years of dating. "We can confirm Irina Shayk has ended her relationship to Cristiano Ronaldo [after] five years," her rep says.

"She has been close with his family throughout the course of their relationship. Any negative rumors with regards to Irina and the Ronaldo family are completely false, and have not been a factor in the cause of the spilt. Irina has no further comment at the time."

Christiano also confirms the breakup, "After dating for five years, my relationship with Irina Shayk has come to an end. We believed it would be best for both of us to take this step now. I wish Irina the greatest happiness."

The couple, both 29, was hit with breakup rumors after she unfollowed him on Twitter. She was also notably absent at the celebration of his third Ballon d'Or win earlier this month. He reportedly has moved on with Spanish news reporter named Lucia Villalon.
