Solange Knowles Marries Alan Ferguson

Solange Knowles is a married woman. The singer tied the knot with music video director Alan Ferguson in New Orleans on Sunday.


According to PEOPLE, the couple wed in front of about 200 family and friends including Beyoncé, Jay Z, and Blue Ivy.
Knowles, 28, and Ferguson, 51, arrived on white-painted vintage bicycles around 2 p.m. and exchanged vows at the Marigny Opera House in NOLA.
The bride was beaming in a cream pantsuit with a cape and plunging V-neck, while the groom was dapper in a white Lanvin suit. Guests all wore shades of white to match the couple.
“They looked pretty calm, relaxed on their wedding day,” an onlooker told PEOPLE. “Definitely happy.”
Beyoncé, Jay Z, and Blue Ivy pulled up about 15 minutes later in a black SUV. Solange’s son Daniel Julez, mother Tina Knowles, and Janelle Monáe were also in attendance.
On the eve of their wedding, the pair celebrated with an intimate pre-party at NOLA’s Indywood Cinema. They screened a film on how they met before playing the Diana Ross flick Mahogany, a movie they watched on their first date.
This is the second marriage for Solange, who shares a 10-year-old son with ex-husband Daniel Smith.

Vogue has released the official portraits of Solange and her wedding party.
The bride was stunning in a white dress and cape by Humberto Leon for Kenzo while standing alongside her sister Beyoncé, mother Tina Knowles, cousin Angie Beyince, and friend Janelle Monáe. The photos, shot by Rog Walker, are a nod to the work of contemporary Italian artist Vanessa Beecroft.
Solange walked down the aisle to one of the couple’s favorite songs, Donny Hathaway’s “I Love the Lord, He Heard My Cry,” while Kelela, Questlove, and Kindness entertained guests. There was also a dance-off between Solange and her son Daniel to Rae Sremmurd’s “No Flex Zone.”
“Everyone I worked with on the wedding are friends who I love,” said Solange. “Everything was a labor of love.”
